When You Found Me

When You Found Me,

My soul was crying, and no one came

My soul was dying, and my life was pain

I groped for the walls at noon as if night

My soul stumbled like the blind without sight

My eyes lie to my soul not once, but many years

They long to be cold, but they still feel the tears

My soul was crying, You heard from above

My soul was dying, You brought to it love

Although to You I did not call, Yourself You revealed to me

“Here am I,” You said was all, and immediately, I began to see.

Turning my eyes, my heart, my ears I am right where I belong

Surrendering all my hopes and fears, new has come, and old has gone

A new creation created by You, salvation your gift to give.

In Christ, a person made brand new, in Christ my soul can live

Forever You will be there, my heart a healing make

The promise of your love and care, for You do not forsake

A torch I’ll carry for You, my Lord, a flame, if it be Your will

A witness to the love in store if they turn, Your love would heal.
